1. Set Up Your Account

   • Provide the basic information for your new account.
   • Choose from various checking and savings plans.
   • Visit a banking specialist to tailor the account to your needs.

2. Change Your Direct Deposit

   • Transfer direct deposits from your old account.
   • Complete the “Change Direct Deposit” form and submit it to:
     • Your employer’s human resources department.
     • Companies handling retirement or pension payments.
     • Brokerage companies (interest, dividends).
     • Contact the Social Security Administration at 800-772-1213 or visit www.ssa.gov to change SSI payments.

Change Automatic Withdrawals

• Copy the “Change Automatic Withdrawal” form and send it to each company that withdraws from your account, such as:
  • Utilities
  • Insurance
  • Loans/Mortgage
  • Internet/Phone Service
• Follow up with each company within a few weeks to confirm your request was processed.

Close Old Accounts

• Keep old accounts open with enough money for outstanding checks and withdrawals.
• Once inactive, send the “Close Account” form to your former bank.
• Destroy old checks, ATM/debit cards, and deposit slips.
