A New Chapter for Tower Records’ Historic Broadway Location

Sacramento’s iconic Tower Records site at the corner of Land Park Drive and Broadway is evolving into a vibrant mixed-use development preserving the area’s rich cultural history while paving the way for an exciting future. Today, construction crews are breathing new life into the site at 2500 16th Street with a five-story mixed-use project set to redefine the area.

This modern development will include:

  • 68 apartment units, ranging from studios to one- and two-bedroom layouts.
  • Ground-floor retail space, featuring three shops and two restaurants with outdoor dining patios.
  • A pedestrian-friendly plaza, designed to connect with the surrounding neighborhood.

Key changes include stepping back the upper floors to preserve sightlines to the Tower Theater and expanding the pedestrian plaza to make it a central feature.
